One person is diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease every hour of every day in Australia. Yet awareness and research funding for this debilitating condition are almost non-existent.

With this online video, our objective was to get people thinking, talking, and sharing on social media about Parkinson’s Disease, and force re-appraisal of the severity of the condition.

To highlight how devastating Parkinson’s can be, we decided to show the lengths some sufferers will go to in order to get relief from their symptoms.

Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) surgery is a form of brain surgery where electrodes are inserted into the patient’s brain. It’s risky, highly invasive, and for the “lucky” 10% of Parkinson’s sufferers who qualify for it, currently the best treatment available.

Without a single dollar of paid support, this video was viewed over half a million times on Facebook.
